I'm just curious as to what you guys think about this defense for my ticket. No, I'm not complaining, and yes I know it was my own fault, I just want an honest opinion as to whether or not you think this will get me off. Thanks.

Definitions -
Specify - To state explicitly or in detail
Explicit - Fully and clearly expressed, leaving nothing implied

Discrepancy - The citation says I was doing 62 in a 42

Legal Statutes -
§ 543.010. Specifications of Speeding Charge
The complaint and the summons or notice to appear on a charge of speeding under this subtitle must specify:
(1) the maximum or minimum speed limit applicable in the district or at the location; and
(2) the speed at which the defendant is alleged to have driven.
Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 165, § 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1995.

Argument -
The citation states the incorrect maximum speed limit applicable at the location. The law states that the maximum speed limit must be specified, which has not been correctly done.

My friend was in your position just not that long ago. ur tickets were almost indentical. he lost his case because he still broke the law by going over the speed limit. just keep on trying to get new court dates and delay it as much as possible and hope that the cop doesnt show.
