Now that I learned my lesson where is a good place to get gauges and mount and which are the most important?
Thanks

Boost / EGT / <whatever>

the whatever can be:
another EGT (running one for 1,2,3 and one for 4,5,6 banks)
fuel pressure
oil pressure
A/F (Innovative Wideband has a gauge, so does AEM and FJO)

Where to mount them?
You can get a TBKO or TRD gauge pod.
You can use an LCD to display HKS gauges.
You can take mount them in the glove compartment or do some other custom fabrication/placement.

What brand to get?
It depends and everyone has a different opinon.
Autometer work, but are considered cheap by many.
Greddy and HKS seem to be popular.

Where to get them?
Shop around - call a vendor and ask what they charge, haggle if you can.
Ebay is a good choice too.
For Sale forums on Subaru, DSM, Supra, IS300, RX-7, <whatever> forums.

I guess the best thing for you would be a wideband to measure the air/fuel ratio.

My personal opinion:
All gauges serve their purpose. Every one will tell you a different but important.

Other than the wideband..

I would get a fuel pressure gauge ( So you'll hopefully catch any problems before they turn into major problems)

I wouldn't necessarily do a coolant temp. You already have that and although it's not very sensitive, you'll see any considerable changes to your coolant.

EGT is good.

Oil pressure is another you'd also want to consider. For safety sake, just to make sure you've got oil running through, no kinks or leaks.

i'm with sophie on this...

you really don't need a boost gauge, but i guess it could be helpful when something goes wrong and you lose boost pressure (something broke).

EGT, fuel pressure, oil pressure would be my 3.

Actually, even for a SC, a boost gauge is very important. It's really easy for boost to begin to escape from somewhere (damaged vacuum hose, coupling hose clamp that worked its way loose, blow-off valve malfunctioning, etc.) before reaching the intake, causing a lower boost pressure...so it would be nice to know that you are running only 10lbs of boost instead of the 15lbs that you usual run, or something like that.

There is only one TRD gauge pod at Powerhouse Racing right now. Jarrett will sell it for $260, but remind him that he told me that price. 817-529-4800. First come gets it.

I was also thinking about doing some custom work.
IS300.net had a JDM filler for stock CD/Radio.
You could get a DVD/LCD head unit and just place the gauges underneath or above it.

I got to talk to a couple of people and see if I can do that as well.
Here is a little prototype.

Nothing personal, but I think that is not too attractive.
I think it's better than having gauges where they are at now.
But that's just me.
Nothing like catching them by surprise.

Does power house racing use the TRD gauge pod?
They will use whatever you bring them since you are paying for it. The guage pod and guages are not included in their kit.
