Hi. I'm about to replace valve-cover gaskets (2) because I have a noticeable leak. I think I'll also replace the plugs since I have 92K miles on my car. What vapor hoses are apt to need replacing on this job? Since I'm buying parts to take to my mechanic I'd rather be prepared - it's over a 2-hour job and I don't want someone later to tell me I need a vapor fuel hose too. Comments welcomed. Thanks!

The PCV and air-assist hoses are probably hard and ready for replacement, as probably are the coolant bypass hoses that go to the throttle body, as well as the heater hoses. It's easier to get at the heater hose at the back of the head when the throttle and valve covers are off.

Also, definitely have a set of new coil connectors or coil connector pigtails on hand, as the originals will likely disintegrate when the mechanic tries to disconnect them.

At 92k it's about ready for a timing belt service. Might just set aside a couple days and just do everything yourself.
