I have a 2002 Mazda Protege 5 and I'm looking into getting an IS300. I just bought new wheels and I'm wondering if they'll fit on an IS300. I'd hate to get rid of my wheels literally three weeks after I got them.

They're 17x7, +45 offset, 205/40/17 tires

Yep, they will fit. You lucked out. The protege 5 has the same lug pattern as the IS, 5x114.3!

Oh, yeah, oops forgot to tell the bolt pattern, but I knew it was the same.

So the wheel specs will work? I know with the p5 you don't have much room to work with on offset.

tires will be a lil off but it'll work, just a lil smaller than stock

Yeah, you'll need to get a tire with a 45 aspect ratio. Your speedometer will be a little off. You need 215/45/17. I imagine the IS has tires on the stock wheels right now, you should just use those tires.
