I currently have Tokico HP shocks with Tein H-tech Springs.
Now i'm gonna be swapping out the Tokico's with a set of Koni yellows....
I heard that if you leave the Koni struts on the upper perch, it would be about 5mm lower than what you would of had before (for example, 5mm lower than with stock struts). Is this true???
I know i can put it on the lower perch and lower the front 20mm and the back 15mm but i'm just scared that it may be a bit too low if i put it on the lower perch.

Can anybody can help me with my situation, thanks!

This is how my car is sitting so far:

h-techs are a fairly mild drop. probably comparable to the eibach prokits.

so even at the lower perch on koni shocks, it won't be "too low".

5mm lower is the upper perch.
here is my prokit/koni (lower perch) for a ballpark idea of where you would sit. its just a hair under a 2 inch drop. i have to use 2x4s to get on a finger lift now. sorry if its kind of hard to see the gap on the black car.

Thanks for the reply guys.

Is there even a big difference going from Upper to Lower perch?
I know Koni says 20mm front/15mm rear, but is this a very noticable difference??

I have almost a 1 finger gap in the rear and 2 fingers in the front.
Keep in mind, i have a sub box in the trunk right now....so it might even be 1/2 finger in the rear now.

yeah there is a noticeable difference. if i were you i would go upper rear, lower front to help balance out the sub box.

OK, i put on my gram lights again b/c the weather has been getting warmer now.
So, i have less than 1 finger in the rear and a full finger in the front.
You think if i put the fronts on the lower perch would it give it a raked look or should it even it out??

I was thinking maybe i'll just leave it on the upper perch and use the extra 5mm that i hear people talk about.
But i was wondering if the Tokico HP's have the same perch height as the stock struts, thus giving me the 5mm when i switch over to the Koni's....or does the Tokico's have 5mm lower perch vs. stock perch as well??? Anyone know?.
thanks in advance...
