Hey A-train, Congratulations. Just wondering what type of selection Pohanka had? I live in the area and was looking to add an IS to my garage. SBM or Solar Yellow are my 2 choices and wanted to know what the chances are of walking into the dealership and finding one. Let us know how the experience was. Did you check in with Siver Spring? Have fun!!!!

SBM w/ Graphite

FYI: Pohanka had plenty of IS300's on the lot. Lots of yellows which look VERY hot by the way and was my second choice. Another blue was bought at the same time as mine (by a fellow is300.net user ciccone). Graphite rims may be hard to come by though. I didn't go to any other lexus dealer because Pohanka is near my house and would be convenient for service (when necessary).

Been drivin all day. Tried to keep it below 50-55 (for the first 200 miles as suggested) but the smooth ride got the best of me and I pushed it (a bit) after 75 total miles. All I can say is: DAMN! LOOK AT THAT CAR! Oh wait, thats what all the people who's heads turned must've said

Hey, Congrats on the new purchase, i like the graphite polished rims. Just bought mine a week and half ago. I see you have read your owners manual about the 1000 mile breakin perod, (pg. 190). I have about 250 miles on the car and have speed up to 75 mph and kept on cruising!!!!! Nice feeling!!!!!!!!!!!! Well gotta go do the first wash and wax on my new baby.

Honestly, I can't say! The salesman, well actually the guy he called into help with negotiations (his manager?) asked me to keep it confidential because "you're getting a steal." Don't know how official that was because I didn't sign any documents with respect to that (I kind of found it weird). All I can say is, I looked through this message board and found some listed prices people were buying it for loaded in the DC area and wouldn't budge (much) from that. Those guys are smooth talkers but if you do your research on the web and hold firm to a figure you KNOW a car has been sold for, then you shouldn't have a problem.

Good luck,

A,
People on this board have faxed each other purchase orders to use as leverage to strike a better deal. There is no such thing as confidentiality when it comes to who paid what.

Also, by you telling what deal you got it can only help your dealer sell more cars.

PS I already have one so I don't care, I'd just like to see you help other members
