Okay, we haven't had a survey of the price of gas since the board came up, so I figure it's time. However, I'd like to through a twist into the metric.

Rather than price of gas in your area, how many miles to the gallon you get is also important. Afterall, if you pay a lot for a gallon of gas, but get good mileage, you're better off than someone who really burns through the gas quickly, even if they pay less for a gallon that you do.

In my case, I just filled up this morning. I'm getting about 21.3MPG, and premium is running me $1.439. That works out to 6.725 cents per mile.

Anoyone else?

Yikes...Where are you buying that liquid gold? I'm getting premium Chevron for $1.75 in Kent and Federal Way.

I've been paying about $1.31-$1.35 for premium here in Oklahoma City and average about 19mpg, I took a road trip to Texas last week and was getting about 24-25mpg. I got gas in Sugarland, TX and paid $1.73! I was about to turn around and head back home. Also went to Austin and gas was a little more reasonable, around $1.50. I put 1300 miles on my car last week, it's finally broken in. =>

Dang! The day after I fill up, I see that the gas station where I got the gas now is selling 93 octane for $1.39, four cents per gallon less than yesterday.

*sigh*

Maybe it will still be that way, or less, next week.

I usually get it around Kirkland or sometimes in Lynnwood. Lynnwoods usually cheaper, but only by about 2-3 cents.
I get Chevron premium also. Why is gas cheaper in the south end?

$1.68 for 93octane 16.7 MPG and on a good week 17.6MPG. My mileage sucks, but I was wondering if maybe its the reformulated gas that is federally mandated for my region!!!!?????

You probably mean "cheapest Exxon Premium." The Citgo by the Naval Medical Center in Rockville has 93 for $1.63 yesterday.

LOL... When I fill up in Kirkland, it's right next to 405, but they don't have any Chevron's further inland in the Redmond area.

The one in Lynnwood, (cheapest I can find), is right next to I-5.

They just don't have many, if any Chevron's close to me, away from the freeway.

When is the merger/conversion of Chevron to Texaco going to take place? There's a Texaco right up the street that I would to have turn into a Chevron.
