Someone once told me a rough equation for how many pounds of sprung weight removed would give you the same performance gains as one additional horsepower. Does anyone know what that equation is?

I see that that would be a pretty tricky equation. I just know that something like 742 Watts = 1 hp

this is alot of drag racing hearsay, but alot of people claim 100 lbs = .1 in the 1/4 and 1 mph, they also say that 10 hp/tq is 1 mph in the 1/4 so you could look at it as 10 lbs = 1 hp/tq, however its completely inaccurate.
