Pics of production Acura RSX

I knew that sweet interior they showed at Detroit wasn't gonna make production. Bye bye Recaros, hello Honda seats. For production, we get boring wheels and boring interior to match the boring exterior. WHAT is Honda doing??
Steering wheel is ugly, but at least it's 3 spoke leather, instead of that 4 spoke plastic crap on my old GSR.

Its not TOO bad. Looks like it will have a sequential manumatic tranny, judging by the shifter. The gauges look nice, even though the positions are bite off the Celica.
Im sure it will sell like crazy, at first anyway

haha, well put.
Yes, exactly! The auto-shifter is not likely a sequential shifter (meaning a hydraulic-operated clutch), just an automatic with torque converter and manual mode.

Yep, I agree. The JDM MR-S has squential (tiptronic or whatever they're called) but its not exported to the US yet due to its bad quality. I smell recall in the air. If Honda does put a sequential on the RSX, my advice is to not buy that for at least a year and wait till everything is fixed.

By the way, the CG pictures of the new Integra (RSX...whatever) on scoop auto magazines looked far much better than this... I like the 4 eyed Integra I used to drive much better. (BTW current JDM Ingegra has flat halogen headlights.) As a former owner, I am a little disappointed.
Really doesn't look all that much different than the current body style Civic's.

I heard this car is rear wheel drive. Is this true?
Nice fender gap
Got sidewall???

The RS-X looks like
A) An overgrown insight
or
B) A paseo for the 21st century
take your pick, it's fugly either way. I can't believe they're dropping the gorgeous prelude and pretty integra ('gorgeous with JDM front end) for this POS.

Nope, the RSX is FWD. Rumors said it was going to be RWD and based on the S2000 platform.

This thing will have freaking MacPherson-strut spring setups, and handling will SUCK!!!!

Okay, I'm thinking that the current gen integra has a way uglier face than the RS-X. With the four miniscule projector lamps, it looks like a spider. The RS-X's looks are pleasant, but the handling will suck or at least not be as good as the current gen tegs. Either way, I think in someways Honda seems to be going backwards. It's a shame since the new engine should be tasty.

Many great handling cars have strut suspensions, such as the WRX, so I wouldn't write off the RSX before the preview drives come out. I agree Honda is losing it's way, but who knows, the RSX could be a great car, wait til the reviews come out. It's not ugly, it's just very plain. The WRX is UGLY, but I like that better, at least it's got character. Will likely blow away the RSX as well. And seats 4.

The sequential manual in the MR2-Spyder is sold in Australia and soon to be available in the USA, *BUT* it is a big disappointment because the car is much less quick with the sequential shifter than the "traditional" 5 speed manual.
Another one that proved Acura's sketches are always misleading.....now I don't have much anticipation for TL-S.

...and all the BMWs, including the M3 and M5. And all the Porsches. The MR2 Spider is all strut but is touted as a superior handler than the double-wishboned Miata. The current Celica, the natural competitor of the RSX, has a comparable strut front/multilink rear setup.

I saw it at the LA auto show and it looks really nice in person, from the rear it looks like a TOTAL CRX! I thinks it'll sell well though. I jsut can't wait until the Type-R come out! YUMMY! I think Honda slipped up with the new civic, but i think Honda will bounce back, i mean i know it's engineers aren't sitting with thier thumbs up thier butts as Toyota and Nissan take over the pocket rocket segmant, ya heard?
