Taking over a family members IS300 with 260k miles and its been neglected. Hoping I can get some tips on some of the first things to do when it comes to maintenance. Already have Accessory belt , timing belt, Oil change, Spark plugs and full suspension in mind. What are other things I'm missing? Since it's been neglected what is your thoughts on Seafoam? TIA.

thats about it . without seeing the car we cant really recommend anything. a full service would be a good start for any new to you used car.

Start by changing all the fluids. At 260k, the chassis is (more than ready) for a complete overhaul of dampers and bushings everywhere. As you are doing that work, keep a close eye out for deteriorating rubber parts. These cars are getting old and all of the rubber bits are starting to time out.

Like others have said full engine service water pump timing belt tune up and all the fluids. Check the brakes tires and check the ball joints which are known to go bad. You probably don't need seafoam as this motor is port injected. Make sure you replace your pcv valves while your there. You can find full service kits for the timing belt online that come with almost everything you need. Depending on what you want to do with the car strong flex makes a full poly bushing kit. Also check your shocks and any rubber hoses.
