I have the code p0136. Replaced the oxygen sensor with original Denso 234-4015. Twenty miles later MIL comes back on. Traction off light flashing as well while p0136 is present. Possible vacuum leak causing this ?

This would have needed to be Bank 1 down stream sensor that needed to get replaced. Is that the one you replaced?

Double check your connectors and fuses. Other than that. You will need to look over the wiring for breaks.

Yes you probably have a broken wire. It’s saying heater circuit so since the new o2 sensor “should” be fine in completing that circuit, you must have a loose connector or a frayed wire somewhere on the heater side (normally black wires) of the circuit.

Checking for any damaged wires tomorrow morning before work. Thanks.

You could check for resistance across the heater wire on the sensor to confirm it is actually good, personally i would start with that as it is the most obvious thing and easy to test before tearing into the wiring. Its not unheard of for a sensor to be bad or to be sitting on the shelf so long moisture causes corrosion of the resistance wire. ;)
