i don't know how many 2003s are left in your area, but i'd think you could get pretty close to that for a brand new 2003, if you're willing to put in another $500-$1000. i got my TCM SD e-shift in mid-Aug for about $1200 more than your quoted price...

or you could try negotiating some more to get the price down...

but i don't know how the market is in your area. in so cal, it's pretty competitive since we have so many dealers in a concentrated area [i can get to at least 8 or 9 dealers in less than 45 min], so we have the luxury of going from dealer to dealer if we don't like the price...

If you can swing a few more thousand, why don't you just get a brand new one for roughly $29k or less? First, you might get a better finance rate with a new car and well, it's a new car. $1-2k probably won't add much to your monthly payment if you choose to finance it and you'll get to choose all the options you wanted in the first place. Buying a used car while saving less than $2k isn't worth it in my opinion. If it was more like $3-5, that's a different story.
