I agree with Erick on the looks...not a bad car though. Then again, not a muscle-car either. It may not make it to the US, for the same reason the Elise is illegal (I think it's illegal). It's ultra-light chasis renders it ultra fragile, and thus unsafe.
In case it does make it to the US, it'll give some of our foreign locals some good competition (S2000, MR2, Z3, TT, SLK, and the likes).
I guess weight is what gives it an edge...otherwise, the engine's a 4 cylinder weakling.

From what I hear, it may come to the US as a Pontiac to compete with the upscale roadsters i.e. S2000, BMW Z3, MB SLK etc..

Ug, forget it then. They'll put some ugly plastic cladding on the sides and call it a styling upgrade.

That's very true, especially if it comes out looking like the Aztek.
Plus, I own a GM now, and I'm kinda tired of their quality issues.

That's ridiculous, the Elise's ultralight chassis is ultra strong and stiff - it hasn't come to the US because it wasn't designed to meet US emissions, bumper, and crash standards. It'd take a major redesign and would be too expensive to certify and might ruin the car. Blame the US government's insane requirements, or blame the fact that the US if full of huge semis and Ford Expeditions. But the Elise is very crashworthy, and light does not mean weak - look at Formula cars! The cars can be ripped to shreds but drivers are unhurt.
