would the performance of the IS change if it were front wheel drive, because i dont know ther differance between Front and rear wheel drive.

Yes.

The front end would be a lot heavier, making it more likely to understeer. But you can also expect to knock off quite a few $k off the price for a front-wheel drive vehicle.

You get what you pay for.

i love RWD. That was probobly one of the biggest reasons besides the 2JZ I bought the IS.

Rear wheel drive means the wheels that move your car are in the back.
In front wheel drive, they are in the front?

I don't think Toyota wants to turn their Lexus brand into another front wheel drive Acura division. I think all Acura cars are front wheel drive.
