on the fence about '01/'02 model

Can anyone help me out here??? any advice would greatly be appreciated. I am on the fence about purchasing the 2001 or the 2002 model. i have read some of the notes posted here and I can not see that big of a change between the two models. (exception Manual shifting). Also, in the gallery section of the forum, i saw the IS300GTE.. Is that available here in the states.. Or can you have that installed aftermarket?? I really would like that navigation system. Please advise.. THANkS!!
