on the fence about '01/'02 model

Can anyone help me out here??? any advice would greatly be appreciated. I am on the fence about purchasing the 2001 or the 2002 model. i have read some of the notes posted here and I can not see that big of a change between the two models. (exception Manual shifting). Also, in the gallery section of the forum, i saw the IS300GTE.. Is that available here in the states.. Or can you have that installed aftermarket?? I really would like that navigation system. Please advise.. THANkS!!

The pictures in the gallery are not of a IS300GTE, that is the name of the member who posted the pictures. The pictures of the red IS are of the 2002 manual model that was displayed at the auto shows around the country.
