Hi. I bought my '02 Sportcross about 5 months ago and it's time for an oil change. It just turned over to 15,000 (yes, that's right - no typo). I was thinking about changing it over to synthetic. What weight should I get? I was thinking about using Mobil1.

Also, where can I buy an acceptable oil filter? Do I have to go to the dealer for that or can anyone recommend one that I can buy that is rated up there at an auto supply place?

Thanks. - Lance

Welcome fellow SportCrossers and South Floridian!

Most people use Mobil 1 5W30, and either the stock Toyota filter or the Mobil 1 filter.

You own a Lexus, you live in Miami, and your first name is Lance. hhhhmm.

Your last name is Ho Lung is it?
