last night i was driving home, and i came to a stop at a light. light turns green and i proceed to go. i give it about 80% throttle as i power through 1st, letting it rev to about 5k rpms. i then proceed to shift into second. the gear engages and the rpms start to rise (only giving it about 70% throttle this time). but as soon as the engine gets to about 3k rpms the check engine light blinks once and the car jerked forward very violently. it was as if the car just died for a split second then came back to life. any clue on what happened????????????????????? i didn't get a chance to check anything yet. all i have is a dragger II, oh and its a manual.

:( :( :( :-?

Your engine did die.
The reason it came back is because of the 2nd gear engaging.

Do you have an air intake system, such as Injen?

no intake, but it did exactly what people with intakes complain about. whats weird was that is was in gear when it died, doesn't the car want to die when coasting in neutral with an intake?

any help people???

p.s. after the problem the car ran perfect.

If the car is in gear, it should not die unless there was some kind of problem.
How much gas did you have in the tank?
