O2 Simulator

I was looking around the forum on place I can buy and O2 sim, but I have yet to find one that still sells them. Does anyone know where I can still buy one?

I was also considering making one, but I couldn't find the plans online that included the heater too.

Thanks.

This was just discussed in another thread. Schematics for a circuit based on a 555 timer chip are readily available, and I believe AREA74 (O2 simulators | AREA74) still makes and sells a more advanced unit (no personal experience or affiliation - just something that came up in the other thread).

The car is old enough where a simple resistor will be enough for the heater circuit. That’s what’s the old o2 sims use.

Seems like a 5 watt, 47 ohm resistor should work right at the limit. Higher rating and lower value would give more assurance and reliability I imagine.

That only would work on the heater circuit of the O2. Not the signal side.
