Hey all,

I'm picking up the car this week, happy to say I'll be joining the club very, very soon (NYC area)...

I'm thinking about getting tint on my silver IS. I am assuming that tints are o.k. on a leased car? Can anyone tell me what the legal % is in NY? Thanks.

I got 20% tint on mine, but I thin legal i 30%, Not sure though.

Yellow.... I am going to Craig Paisley's shop in Hempstead, Long Island. I "think" Accord-R is having his workdone there.

GSXR600....i think the tint really look great on the silver car. i'm attaching a picture of mine. i just picked it up last week. i had it done at the dealer. wound up getting it at their cost which means that i still probably paid a couple of bucks more than at a glass shop. however i bought mine. on a leased car the dealer is going to be particularly concerned about the quality of the job. you may want to get it done under their supervision to save future grief. who knows...sometimes the can residualize a portion of the tint and spread it over the course of your lease. for example, on an altima we leased a few years back we wanted alloy wheels and a spoiler. the bank residualized 50% of the value of the wheels but wouldn't do the spoiler. pretty much because they felt that the wheels helped the resale value of the car while the spoiler added nothing.

anyway, check out the pics of the tint. i think it adds a lot to the silver.
