Is it safe to drive the car without rear sway bar installed in the back?

I don't see why not, my beater civic i kept when i bought the IS has none front or rear (car is so dam low i hit a man hole cover and ripped the front factory one off, OOPS LOL).

Just be prepared for the front end to push out on you some, kind of like a front wheel drive car. Lots of understeer.

It's much safer than driving without a front sway bar. ;)

You should get a lot of understeer without the rear sway connected. And it will feel a bit odd - I drove that way unintentionally for weeks...
