I'm thinking about changing my license and registration to either New york or New Jersey. Which is better? Or should I just keep my VA registration.

Somethings I worry about are:

- leniency of laws (tint, emission)
- car tax
- registration fee
- insurance rates

Which is better NY or NJ?

no no no...stay with whatever plates you got...insurance will rape you, and you dotn haev to deal with front paltes or tint tickets.

but

if you live and drive in ny more, go with nj....and vice versa

The best thing to do is get a Florida license, cause there is no inspection at all, no emmission regulations. However if i were to choose between NJ and NY, I'll go with NJ because insurance is cheaper, and inspection is free (NY they charge 37 dollars). Also in NJ inspection is done only once every two years.

Ya, that's what I thought. I'm going to keep my VA I think. I may even change to MD...
