So the question is should i try to tune and break into the 12's and save money or get turbo like i want to? I was planning on using nitrous with the turbo kit which would make my times better. But, after reading that it kind of makes me want to pursue the 12's on a non-turbo setup. Any opinions are welcome and i thank you for your input.
I really hope your engine is built up like a mo-fo...I can't imagine your engine holding up with 100 shot let alone anything higher than that on stock internals.

I'm not an expert in Nitrous, just that everytime I hear about it being used, it's said to be "not a good way to go." Who knows...someone else who is experienced with Nitrous should chime in. From what I do know, the heat created with a 100 shot is MUCH greater than that created using a turbo/sc setup. Heat being the leading cause of engine damage...I can't see how this setup is good for your engine.

The thing that makes my spraying safe is that i have gone to great links to have the car tuned and done things to keep the risk minimal. The thing with nitrous is that the heat is only for a short period of time and with a turbo that heat from burning all the extra air is constantly there. Pleas tell me if i'm wrong on that part, but that is how i have come to understand what happens. Also, i don't go through a bottle a weak which helps keep the ware and tear to a minimum.
No problem bro. Good luck with it and I am still curious to hear the other side of the story too. Because I hear all the time NOT to do a nitrous setup.

ook. but what about the internals? why do i hear that nitrous is bad for the internals? isn't it because of the high heat it creates with a larger explosion?
