I was reading the uncomplete turbo list and read an interesting fact. I was reading that at SRT Stage 2 ran a [email protected] in the 1/4. With the mods in my profile i have run a [email protected] in the 1/4 mile (shitty reaction time on my part). I was thinking about getting that exact kit. So the question is should i try to tune and break into the 12's and save money or get turbo like i want to? I was planning on using nitrous with the turbo kit which would make my times better. But, after reading that it kind of makes me want to pursue the 12's on a non-turbo setup. Any opinions are welcome and i thank you for your input.

GTE: 60' was 2.217 and my 1/8 was 8.847

Win0_II please elaborate more on the damage u think i'm doing. I don't really spare that often so i don't think i'm doing much more damage than having a turbo.

Wino_II first, i would like to say thanks for the honest and fair response. I happen to know a good bit about nitrous since i have been spraying for about a year now. The thing that makes my spraying safe is that i have gone to great links to have the car tuned and done things to keep the risk minimal. The thing with nitrous is that the heat is only for a short period of time and with a turbo that heat from burning all the extra air is constantly there. Pleas tell me if i'm wrong on that part, but that is how i have come to understand what happens. Also, i don't go through a bottle a weak which helps keep the ware and tear to a minimum.

When nitrous is under pressure it has a cooling effect. I think it had to do with the chemical makeup of the compound. When i let nitrous out of my bottle it always freezes the area where it is coming out of.

BlueIS thanks for the input. I can tell that my tranny is taking ware. Would maybe a valve body upgrade help with that? I do have a tranny cooler and tbko shift kit on it to try to help with that.
