Hey guys,

I just bought my 2002 IS300 on friday. I have been driving it for a couple of days with no issues. I got winter tires put on monday.

My wife drove the car today and said that it makes a loud clicking sound when she is turning left. There is also a small clicking sound when she is turning right, it isnt as loud as left hand turns.

What could this be?? Has anyone expierenced any similar sounds while turning??

Could it be the winter tires?? Like i said i drove it yesterday with no issues......but than again i always have the stereo on blast........lol.

Thanks peeps!

A quick visual inspection might reveal something. You can jack the front up, crank the wheel over, spin the tire and see what you hear where.

welcome! and agreed.. you should jack it up to see if you can spot anything.
My guess would be the tires hitting something? winter tires are normally larger than stock, so sometimes when fully turning, thay can rub, or tap on something, espcially if they are the studded winter tires.
Good luck!
