Hi all!
I have been viewing here a while now but I recently got my 2001 1S so now I can start posting. :D I live in the DC Metro Area approx. 4 miles from SRT's Shop so I'll be 'paying" them a visit shortly. Glad to see that there are quite a few local folks on line so I believe I can get to see alot of cars also.
My silver 2001 IS has 21,440 miles on the ticker when I picked it up last week and I have put over 100 on it already. Must say very nice indeed.
It is basicall stock, no upgrades, a mixture of dunlops on the rear and Michelins on the front wheels so I'll have to get that fixed.
Oh how do I reset the radio? PO was from NJ and I can't get those stations off the presets. Though FM3 was clear so I put the locals on there.
Well I'll have a lot more question soon 8)

Welcome man. I'm assuming you're the one who has been IMing me?? You don't have your AIM listed. Anyway....enjoy the site...lots of good info here. You're lucky to live in a very good area for owning an IS300. We have the best meets and most F/I IS300s in the US, in our region.

to reset the radio stations, go to one station you want, then hold down the button (one of the numbers) until it beeps, then its set. Welcome, maybe there will be an SRT Turbo in your future, that would be sweet :p

Congratulations!

I'm also in the NoVA area (I work in Tysons Corner) and I also recently bought a pre-owned 2001 IS300 with E-Shift, 37,000 miles. I love it as well.

.NET has already proved itself to me as a great spot (friendly, lots of advice, and a ton of love for the IS 300).

Reset the ECU if you want to reset all the radio stations...or like someone said before, go to radio station you want, then hold down one of the numbers until it beeps, then its set.
