Ok so I have an issue.

I think it is a motor mount but I am not too sure.

Whenever I shift, there is a clunking noise. Im not too sure if it is the motor rocking or some other noise

When I owned my Jetta I had the same issue and it turned out to be the dogbone mount. I was just wondering if anybody could give me pointers on how to find out what it is without going to the "stealership"..

I'm assuming you're driving a manual.

If the noise sounds like it's coming from behind you it's normal. It's just slack in the driveline. Do a search and you'll see that everyone with a manual hears this noise.

It's a common thing, most RWD cars have this "problem." Shoot, even my dad's car does, and it's an automatic.
