With cingular...(i have to keep the contract for now...)
I've got the Nokia 3360 (not the best, but it worked)...and now it's got serious issues displaying backwards, reversed numbers, plain jibberish, etc... on the screen. Basically, it is done. Since, it's over a year old, Cingular says tough luck. The two good phones they have (imo) are the Nokia 8265 and Motorola V60t. Problem is, according to Cingular last time I was there, they said the 8265 can't do email/internet, but Nokia's website says it can...(I occaisonally send emails through it for work) Anybody know for sure?

Also, there are all these other slick phones out there, but Cingular doesn't have them. I know nothing about cell phones...is it just the 'type' of phone that Cingular supports...is that why they have such a limited selection?

if you're using a 3360 you're on cingular's tdma technlogy. unfortunately you won't be able to get a lot of phone because you're limited to the ones that cingular carries or ones that are tdma compatible.

i have heard gooad and bad things about both phones. a lot of people have had problems with the v60 and have been getting replacements or buying other phones. the 8265 is just basically an upgrade of the 8260 and those phones SUCKED!

btw, the 8265 can't do wireless internet. you can send text message to the phone but you can't check youe email on the web.
