Hi Guys,
This is the first post for me in this forum. Let me first off say that i dont own a is300 but my borther does. I dont really know much about the car and i need a lil help looking for parts. My borther just turned 21 and i am gonna fix up his car for him.
Ive done a lil research into parts and have come up with a list of stuff i want to get for his car.
and the list goes as follow:
Swift Racing Intake /w Ecu upgrade (from suprastore.com
Unorthodox Pulley set
a exhaust
and headers.

what headers should i get? what exhaust should i get? is the swift racing intake any good? would a pulley set really help out that much?
Of couse im looking for power so whatever creates the most power... I WANT IT!

I drive a toyota tundra, and have no idea whats good for the is300.
Any help would be very appreciated.
thanks
Espionage01

He has a 01 is300 automatic.

Do some searching first, there is tons of info on all of these products. But here is some info to help ya get started...

The SRT intake great, but don't buy anything from suprastore.com!! Xerd Headers suck...made by 3 yr olds, get toyomoto. HKS makes good performing and sounding exhaust systems. Don't know anyone with that pulley set so can't comment too much on it. Look into getting a Xerd race pipe also.

Another question. If he has an automatic, will he be able to feel the difference in power? i have read somewhere if you have an automatic, you wont be able to feel anything. Also, would adding these bolt ons void the factory warranty?

If a mod you install causes a problem with the engine and they can prove that it did it won't be covered. i.e. power mods screw up transmission, etc.

go fast mods

save your money.i have all the bolt on's on my car, hedder, race pipe.full exhaust, intake and i don't think spending around 1500 dollars for the parts justifie the little extra horsepowe you gain.th best i dynoed my car beeing automatic was 190 horsepower and 190torque and my best 1/4 mile run was 15.6 at 91 miles .i would say leave it stock and enjoy the ride..

Check my sig for mods. I ran a 15.3 last week. I know I can get into the 14's as soon as I learn to launch. First time out I was in the 16's. I like my mods. Good power and I dont really have to worry about breaking anything.
