Is this a good price? I know the wheels are somewhat heavy at 23lbs. And I really don't like heavy wheels, but these look so sweet!

What do you guys think?

$1150 ain't bad! also, what offset should I get? 43 or 45 or what?

Our bolt pattern is 5 x 114.3, right?

$225 for this wheel, any size! I'm skeptical, since www.tirerack.com wants like $529 per wheel.

Help, I need advice!

Thanks,

It's from the link I put up, http://www.wheelspecs.com/specs/wheelmodels/1367

I asked him a bunch more questions, he has them up on sale on ebay, you just contact him with the size you need.

Here's his ebay ad. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/ebayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1874535690

I emailed him and he said they're $1150 for a set, any size.

I just need to know if this is a scam or what. That's a crazy good price.

thats a good price if he is legit...although there is another posting just like his for GT1's....but this seller is from Israel.....i dunno man, i'd ask him more questions.... :D
Well I asked him a few questions, and here's his reply.

"Hello,

Yes i can offer you 18x8", 43-45 offset, 5 x 114.3 lug pattern.
The price is so low because i have them i stock, and i`ve made holiday
discounts, so anyone can get a set for a low price.
They are new , never used.
They are original , not Imitations. i've sold many set's of those wheels.

Thanks."

I'm thinking I might go for these, but I need to know what offset should I get these in? 43, 45? what?

I'm going 18x8. Lug pattern is 5x114.3 correct?

Thanks!

Thought you wanted Model 5's like me! :-D
yeah, but I love these rims too, and I can get them for half the price!

Still like the Model 5's better, but this is a steal for these wheels!

What do you think about them Spencer? I value your opinion! Also, what offset should I get? anybody know?

careful....ask yourself what he's getting out of it. 227 seems lower than cost. make sure your money doesnt disappear into thin air

Definately A Scam!!

After seeing the eBay link, I say SCAM.
Reasons...
1. 0 comments, not a reliable seller.
2. Sunglasses, means he recently became an ebayer
3. Around the holidays you start seeing a lot more 'scammers' on eBay. Last year there was a big deal cause' I seemingly reputable guy had 30+ Playstation II's for good deals. (I got my $$ back, but many did not.)
4. If it's too good to be true, it probably is!

Although...the wheelspecs.com website seems pretty legit, but that price just seems too good. I guess you could always pay w/ credit card, and contest the charge??

Just an advice. Don't buy from this guy. Pay a little more and you won't get cheated.
Yeah, I think I agree. I just noticed that on ebay also, that he doesn't have any feedback.

I won't be putting wheels on in the winter anyway, so might as well save up over the winter for some wheels I like 100%.

Thanks for the advice, I just needed a little straightening. I created a topic on that list asking if anybody had ever bought from him before, no replies yet.

I'll have to save up for some Maya STU or STM's, hyperblack finish, big ass lip! I LOVE those wheels!

this is what he wrote after I sent him an email saying that due to shipping, and his ebay ad, I can't afford to take the risk that it's not legit.

Here's what he had to say:

"There is no problem,

but i have to tell you that you PAY after the UPS email you the Shipping
Confirmation, so you know that the package is coming to yuo, after that you
have to pay.

Bye"

Even if he does ship something out, how do I know that the box isn't empty?

Besides, do vendors from Europe use UPS to ship things over here? I thought they used DSL and Fed Ex?

I'll just save my money, can't afford a mistake like this.

Thanks again for all your advice!!
