ok, so maybe it's not the 2002 model but here is the gps unit i put in
my car! looks close enough and works well! the screen i have is
obviously larger than the stock gps screen so that's why it sticks out
a little bit!

it's the alpine dvd nav system (nve-n851a) with the 6.5" screen
(tme-m750a). cost for my system was $2400 and another $1000 for
installation!

you can check out my other pictures here

yeah..but i REALLY wanted the nav system and i figured if i trade my car in for the 02 model i would probably be paying more for the nav system. the stock nav option itself is probably at least $2K or more!

hehehe..i don't know what's up with this key thing but i don't have THAT many keys on my keychain. i have the lexus keychain, my house key, a knife, and laptop key on there. i think it looks like i have a lot of keys because i have a lot of those loop things on there.

hey, very nice setup, but i must say the installation is a bit steep even for a custom setup like that, unless its motorized. by the way, part of the dash is blocking the bottom part of the screen isnt it? i wished that you posted here before you decided ahead with the system, i had an alpine "cdrom" navi version for sale, cheap too, people may think the DVD is better, but in actuality the CDROM shows much greater detail.

LexDymndz: the alpine tme-m750a 6.5" wide screen LCD has two auxilary a/v inputs and built-in amp and speaker with headphone output. so the sound quality isnt as good coming from a single speaker of the TV, but the setup he's got is easily upgradable with any of alpine's mobile video headunit, or any mobile video headunit at that.

Damon: i'm pretty sure the system runs independently. meaning it doesnt need to be hooked up to the head unit.
