Had my 10k oil change today.
First of all I didn't pay a dime. I never paid for my 5k oil change either. Hmmm funny I don't remember signing anything that included free service. Oh well I'm not complaining. Did you guys pay for your 5k and 10k services?
I also mentioned to the service manager about my problem where my car died on me for no apparent reason. We both agreed that it may have been a fluke cuz it only happened once and never again.
I also mentioned about the acceleration hesitiation problems. We took a test drive in my car so I could show them the problem. I was able to reproduce the hestitation at will. From a relaxed drive I simply hit on the gas and the car took about 2 seconds before it actually took off. Kinda like it was searching for the right gear or somthing. Anyways the service guy said it was a common symptom that he's seen on all the Lexus cars, especially the GS300 and 400s. But if there ever is some kind of ECU upgrade (he was not aware of any at all) or other fixes he would definitly let me know.
Well, coming in I knew I wasn't going to get any anwers to my two issues. I just wanted them to hear about em.
and that's the story on my free 10k service appointment at my local Lexus dealership.
