Do you know if there is an MP3 player that plugs to the Lexus IS300 audio system? (just like the Minidisc changer that is available by Lexus)

Radio Shack or Best Buy sells a cassette adapter for CD players - about $20. It should work. Sound quality is ok.

This is the neo35. It holds a hardrive of whatever size you choose and has an in dash car adapter or can be mounted in the trunk or so on and then a computer adapter so you can put mp3 files on it. I have it in our explorer and it kicks a$$. Well worth the money. Even better if you have an extra hardrive sitting around like i did. I now have a 60gig mp3 player in my car. I am working on wiring it into the IS, just gotta learn more about the wiring procedure on the IS.

there are single Din units from sony and kenwood that plays MP3 burnt onto cds now..and very cheap especially the sony one

I just use Adaptec Easy CD Creator and burn my mp3's on cd. It changes it from .mp3 format to a .wav file and can be played in most any cd player. Works awesome

im planniong to put hook my ghetto sony laptop to the amp. and the laptop will b in the glovebox.

I bought the Rio-Volt and a car adapter. It plays MP3's burned to a disc, Regular cd's and Windows media files. My temporary solution to getting MP3's in the car for now without tearing up the dash.

It would be great if Lexus would take that crappy cassette deck off from the in-dash audiosystem and would replace it with an mp3 player, it could be available as an option. Or just separate mp3 player that would plug to the place that is ment to be to the NAV-system, just like the minidisc changer.
