Well Teg beat me to it, but I'll add a few shots anyway. They are straight from the camera and haven't been touched up at all so my appologies for the picture quality.

Hey - do I at least get extra credit points for being at the race?????

Just an update to what happened to both IS300's. Apparently both cars were running pretty competitive until both develope ignition problems. I wonder if they are running stock ignition system or some aftermarket racing ignition system?

I couldn't hear the anoncements, so I don't know for sure what happened.

The #2 car looked like it had some problems early. It was puffing flames out the tailpipe not long after the start of the race and I saw the right rear lock up several times going into turn one during the first 10 or so laps (I moved around a bit so that was all I really saw from there). That car lasted through the fisrt hour or so of the race. I was watching from the infield and the car was fine (although somewhat damaged - rear bumper cover removed) during a full course caution. After the restart I never saw it again until I noticed it parked behind the pit wall. The flames certainly could have been from an ignition problem or perhaps an exhaust valve.

The #0 car lasted into the third hour. I noticed that it was slowing a bit then it pitted a few consecutive laps - hood open - back out - back in - parked behind the wall.

Both cars where class competitive (per the lap times) while they were healthy.

These are REALLY fun races to attend. If you get a chance go.

Good pictures, guys. Nice to see the car
in racing trim and looking sanitary at the
same time. Thanks for going to the trouble
of taking them and posting them.

does anyone know if any of the stuff that TRD used on the car is available to the public? like the engine management or the "high revving" motor or anything? its cool if they make this stuff, but lame if it isn't available for the enthusiast to purchase also.

cool pics teg, thanks.

supposely, and someone please correct me if I am wrong, that ST class should have the stock motor using very minimal modifications. I believe the engine is 2JZ-GE, and that the intake is from SRT (it has a L-Tune sticker on it, so it may have actually be classify as Lexus part?). The only other thing I know that was done to the car was the exhaust, gearbox (to 6 speed manual). I don't think the internal was changed that much, but I could be wrong.

Hey look at the shocks picture, those brakes look familure, oh yea Supra brakes. hehe
I guess they do fit.

That seriously looks like the Supra 6 Speed gear box also, if you look close it also has the pull-up lockout gate below the shift knob(for reverse). Ive stripped my shifter and it looks just like that bare. Hmmm could be wrong tho..what you think Hyper?

I like how they painted the interior also. Very nice pics. Aways cracks me up how they are allowed to do what ever they want to the interior but they have leave the stock dash intact.

According to Mo, they had "engine management done by TRD using Pectel". After those results, maybe that's not a good thing
