I posted this pic not to long ago...

and many people were asking how they could get one (The part number I gave wasn't good).

I've had trouble coming up with a good part number, but then it struck me:

Current model Avalons use a remote as well (sitting next to the shifter). I'm 99% certain that this remote will work. So if someone wants to give it a try, head out to your Toyota dealer. :D

Ok...the part number is either 86820-41030 or 86820-41031. I would still check with the dealer though.

Nav Remote

I just went to the toyota dealer and they told me the remote is $185.84. If any finds it cheaper let me know.

Hmm.... Since it's a IR remote, it seems like it would be possible to have a programmable remote learn its functions. Additionally, a Pocket PC remote control application like "TV Remote Controller 5.5" would probably allow one to control the nav, along with adding macro capability and voice recognition. 8)

It might be time to visit a Toyota dealer and check out a few Avalons....

i didn't use a part number. I just told the guy to look up the wireless nav remote for an 03' Avalon. It gave a part number and a description on the screen but i didn't write it down. I was too pissed off at the price.
