Thank You to everyone on the forum. I learn so much about the IS300. If it wasn't for this forum, I don't think I would have learn how wonderful the IS300.

I just pickup my car yesterday. The purchase experience is O.K. But I think I paid too much. But after driving the car for two day. I knew I make the right decision. We have 15% taxes on the Car. My car came to a total of $53,275 Canadian dollars. Is approx around $35,516 US$. Package is a little different north of the border.

I don't know much about cars, but thanks to everyone on this forum. I have learn lots of info not only on the IS300 but in Car in general.

Here in Canada, I have not met too many IS300 fan. But thanks to everyone in this forum. It felt great that I now own a IS300.

Too Bad, we get so much snow. I only have one car, I have no choice but to drive the car. Our harsh winter/road salt will be very hard on the paint and on the car.

Thanks Very Much.

Hi Tom!!

Not to worry too much about road salt 'cause they ARE thinking of alternative ways to 'de-ice' the roads.....the salt does harm the environment and they're realizing it......

However, whenever you're back from driving in the snow, it's always a good idea to thoroughly hose the car off with water, paying particular attention to the under carriage and the engine compartment.......

Congratulations in being an IS owner.....As for me, still one year to go.......sigh!!

No snow, just mudslides and earthquakes. Do they have an "earthquake mode" in the IS?

Snow, what is that? I always thought that was on a snow cone? You actually have to live in that stuff! Does it taste good, what flavor

Congrats on your purchase, you will love the car.

Congrat on your new car. Did you get any discount from your Acura dealer. In the hundreds or over 1K?

Uh, IS3 is a Lexus product...Acura, well, they don't have a 4dr to compete with the IS - unless you want a "grandpa TL."
Hey you got a great price. $35k US is like a $million Canadian!
Hi Tom, how much did you pay for your IS300 before tax? Which package did you get? And why did you say you pay too much on it?

Hey, you are lucky to be in Ontario. We pay 17% tax here in BC!!!

Will tried the best to keep clean, but when is minus -30 degree Celis. Not really possible to hose down the car in the driveway. Unfortunately we don't have any water drain the garage and is not really heated Garage.

Tom : if you're in Toronto; avoid Finch West of Yonge. Got my first flat on my IS SBM 17" Graphites running over a pothole 1/2" deep hole. Lexus roadside assistance was great though; changed flat (full size spare : graphite rims & Potenza tire)within 30 min of call; Now gotta see if DVNT will repair tire for free.

Yes, I am in Toronto. Thanks for the Tip. I was just around that area today.

Where should get my Winter Tires and RIM in the Toronto Area. Any suggestion, where I can get a deal ?

$46,035 is actually the MSRP of package C, isn't it? Vancouver dealers always charge $1500 of freight on top of MSRP. ie. $47,535 for package C. Plus A/C tax $100, environmental tax $20, 10% PST and 7% GST.

If you paid $46,326 (incl. freight + $100 + $20) before tax, you actually got a deal of $1329 off the MSRP. Right? I think this is pretty good.

I want to get an IS in Nov but I haven't talked to any salesman yet.

For Calgary area, the deal I was given is MSRP + fright - $500. No other discount. GST is on top.
You are correct. Currently their is a 6.9% finance rate from Lexus. Which dealer has to contribute $1000 to the program. At least that is what I was told. Since I paid in full. I base my offer on 1000 less at the MSRP. In reality the MSR should be $45,035 during the promotion.

Also I think they got a deal on my trade in. I think I could of get another $500 for my trade in. I trade in a 93 SR Prelude Auto fully loaded. Konigh 17" Rim plus original RIM. UPgrade Pioneer stero. Clifford alarm/remote starter/etc with 88000KM...I only got $10,500

If anyone is going looking to buy a new lexus in the Toronto GTA area. I definite recommend my saleslady at Scarborough Lexus Toyota. Ask for Pam. She was great.

I went to Don Valley Lexus Toyota first. Their salesmen are terrible. At first they did not want to let me test drive. They salesmen sees you, check you out. If they feel if you not going to buy, they don't even want to bother with you. They judge you base on your appearance, see if you can afford it, before they even come over and talk to you. At least that is the sense of feeling I got at Don Valley Lexus Toyota. I have three friends who also drive lexus. Who all end up buying at Scarborough Lexus. Even though all of them live close to Don Valley Lexus Toyota. All of them told me about bad sales experience at Don Valley.

Anyway with my personal experience. Thumbs up for Scarborough Lexus. Thumbs down for Don Valley Lexus.

The bottom line, I am now very Happy with my Car. Plus I felt my dealer deserve my business.

Buying a car is tough work, but I am really enjoying it now.
