OK first off, hello everyone, im new to this site. very good site alot of info.
now my question is , i bought this car at a used car dealership, so i dont know whats the deal with the previous owner. So a month gone buy since my purchase, i decided to change the oil in my garage. After draining the oil from the car, i pour the used oil back into the empty oil bottles. As i empty the oil pan i see alot of sparkles , what da heck! i dip my fingers in and rub on it , what seems to be metal shavings!! ummm..this car is a 01 with 37,xxx miles..anyone else have this problem? should i take it to lexus dealer? i wish i shouldve known this site before i bought my IS300 . so many F-ing problems. Brakes makes more noise than my mountain bike.

1) There should be no metal particles in the oil. I would say it is not a very good sign.
2) Brakes should not make noise if they are working properly.

Have an oil analysis done. It will tell you the source of the metal. I would wonder about thrust bearing wear from somebody banging gears but you have an e-shift.
