I'm new to this website, and I have a 2003 Lexus IS300. I'm planning on buying a Mazzuri Header around May when I'm in vacation from college. However I'd like to know how was it installing? is it easy? just putting in the stuff in the exact place? or is it all customized? I'm new to my car so I still got homework to do. Is there anything I should watch out for? if so what is it? should I let a shop do it or should I do it myself? I would, although I don't want no CEL (Check Engine Light) to come on. I'd like to do the safest way possible. I live in Hartford, Connecticut; do you know any Lexus specialists around this area? What do you recomand? Thanks for reading.

first off you can't go around asking this shit in these forums without searching first. these guys will rip you a new one. I just recentally purchased these headers and 3" exhaust off of a friend and well the installation itself wasnt too hard however the rumor that you use all your stock bolts and gaskets is a lie. me and my friends had to head out to mejier at 4 in the morning and woke up the entire neighborhood. also you will have two O2 sensors that won't be hooked up so you will need to buy an O2 sim to get around CEL. I don't reccomend getting one off of o2sim.com however because i bought one for 40 bucks when I'm sure is an assraping and of course it didnt work. me and my friends (one who is going to school for electrical engineering) tried connecting it exactly as the diagram showed over and over but my car wouldn't start. hope this helps.

You do use your stock head gaskets as for botls only the head bolts are used, the full 3" system came with all other needed gaskets and bolts.

I have installed over 200 02sim.com sims and have had almost no problem. Your friend did something wrong for the car not to start.

If you have worked on cars, a header install on the IS300 is very simple, pull out stock stuff put in new stuff. With that said it sounds like you need a shop to install it for you, if you do end up getting one. You will need an o2 sim from o2sim.com (universal dual sim one). Find the sim install directions on this site (I posted it a number of times). Take everything to a shop and they should take care of the rest.
