Has anyone seen the LS430's keys? I heard that the keys are no longer "keys" but rather just a transponder. You leave it on your pocket. walk next to the car and the car unlocks. you no longer have to put the key in the ignition slot, but just go in and turn on the engine.....

Is this true?

wow, aint that something...im reading the minibrochure that i have and it doesnt mention anything like that, just auto closing doors...

Ever seen a Mercedes SmartKey? Thats what the LS430 has. No metal part, its a plug. The autounlocking feature was on the drawing board but sadly never made it to production. Maybe next year.

I have no clue what kind of LS430 keys you've been seeing but the one I saw, the one my mom test drove had a metal part, its just like all the other Lexus Keys.
