Soooooooooo, got a buddy selling an IS300 with an LMS/LMW LS400 front brake conversion.
Hes willing to swap out my brakes, put them on his car, and put the big brakes on my car for $400 (everything and work).
Will I notice a reasonable difference? Is it common to do just the front?
He was able to do it with stock wheels and 15mm spacers. Got a short a short shifter tossed in. Very cool.
Im running stock suspension, but will be going to Bilstein struts. I am unclear on the RCA spacers, What are they for? Car is not lowered, and everything clears.
This RCA/Adapter kit allows fitment of LS400 calipers on an IS300 spindle. RCA Spacers push the lower control arm down 17mm. New hardware included. 85 ft/lbs suggested.

And the RCA's will actually lower the car, so if the RCA is 20mm thick - your car is lowered 20mm once they're installed. Read up on Figs site.

They clear with just the 15mm spacers - stock wheels.
