Lately when I start up the car I immediately set the stick for Manual Drive and click down once on the eTronic shifter. That way the car can handle all of the lower gear city shifting and I have more power over 4th gear's power range on freeways, etc. In dense traffic I do the same thing but click down twice to 3rd.
