does anyone know if a dealership in SoCal will allow you to take an IS300 overnight or at least for a few hours to test drive? i really want to drive the car before i buy it, not just with the salesdrunk

Just ask them. Do what I do-tell them the competition allowed you to keep one a few hours (in your case, say a local BMW dealer). Tell them that you want to compare the IS back-to-back with a 330i, or some other competitor. Trust me, they SHOULD be all too happy to oblige, if it means swaying you from BMW, Audi or Merc.
And don't let them tell you they have to have a credit app first! Again, tell them the other dealer didn't need one, and that you don't want to lower your score, in case the IS isn't for you and you don't buy it.

unless the dealership has some kinda of special is designated for test driving, otherwise, i doubt the dealer is gona let you take the is away for even a hour.. think 'bout it, an is with mileage on it is worth a lot less than an is w/o.
my dealer was koo to give me a 30 min test drive, but he got spanked afterwards by his boss cuz he's not suppose to let me put that many miles on it.. i feel so sorry for him, so i promised i'll buy the car from him to make him feel better

well, the real reason i'm buying the car from him is that he's giving me 30k for the car (leather pack & moonroof).. u c, i scratch his back & he scratches mine

What options are you looking for on your Silver IS? There are TONS of them here in the Seattle area. Most are loaded with the black LS package and LSD. I think I saw three or so at Lexus of Seattle and the last time I was down at Tacoma, I saw about 4 of them, with and without moonroof's, but most of them loaded.
Have they said they're just trrying to locate one or something?
