Time to put new tags on the IS...paid $123.50 for a year. Boy, things have really improved after we had a "tax revolt" and the voters repealed a lot of the charges. Used to be 2% of the value of the car.
What do you pay where you are?

Interesting that my California renewal was $3 cheaper than "zamscan's" - I just paid $242 net. (The diff was VLF of $610 and VLF Offset of $412.) Wonder why the difference??

the diff of $7 vlf is probably due to diff options on the car. the license fee is basically a property tax (based on value)

my options: s/r, leather, polished wheels but no limited slip or heated seats

fraid not leader, i don't think you got a better deal than me. i paid $3 more because the vlf includes the box of cookies the dealership sent me

Cookies!?? Zamscan got cookies?? All I got was a $5 Gift Certificate for Lexus accessories. (Try to find anything for $5.) But, I'm okay...because I know every year my tags are going to cost less than his.

Man, looks like the Dakotas are charging flat rate...I seem to remember it was that way in Texas...based on the weight of the vehicle. Still that way in Texas?

I pay $22.50 annually to renew license tags here in Ohio. Not necessarily a flat rate, it varies by the county.

Wait...I have personalized plates, so it costs me $15 or some odd dollars more.

Dunno...unless your city is getting a cut. I would think it would be the same in the same county...
