25887Back in July 2009, my.IS (with a huge assist from Canada national Moderator k3vo) broke the story that the smallest-ever Lexus would bear the CT 200h moniker, and this author then fearlessly predicted a world debut at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show of a predictor concept, the North American debut of said concept (the Lexus LF-Ch) at the 2009 Los Angeles Auto Show and the production Lexus CT 200h world debut at the 2010 Geneva Auto Show next month.

All of these forecasts came true, and now, via the Lexus Europe website comes word that "Lexus will unveil the world’s first Full Hybrid luxury compact at The Geneva Motor Show on March 2nd 2010. Evolved from the LF-Ch concept car, the CT 200h heralds a new dawn for Lexus as it is younger, bolder and more dynamic than any Lexus car before. Intrigued?" Definitely.

Accompanying this information is a single teaser shot, shown above, of the CT 200h badge under the 3rd-generation Lexus RX-inspired right taillight (whose posting by Romanian my.IS member ae92/ravrouva in a my.IS Garage forum thread first alerted us to this story).

A Press Release in the European Lexus Media Site adds that "Six months after the LF-Ch concept was revealed, Lexus will unveil the new CT 200h at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. Created for those who wish to lower their emissions but not their standards, the CT 200h will be the first, and only, full hybrid vehicle in the premium compact segment. It will bring new levels of refinement, sophistication and attention to detail to the segment, without any compromise on style or driving pleasure. Featuring second generation Lexus Hybrid Drive technology, the CT 200h reinforces Lexus’ hybrid leadership in the premium market, joining the RX 450h, GS 450h and LS 600h to create an unprecedented range of full-hybrid vehicles." (Remember that the HS 250h is not sold in Europe).

Lexus’ press conference will be conducted by Mr. Andy Pfeiffenberger, Vice President Lexus Europe, and is scheduled for 16.45 (4:45 PM Central European Time, which is 10:45 AM Eastern Time and 7:45 AM Pacific Time) on Tuesday 2nd March 2010, on Stand 4211 in Hall 4 of the Palexpo in Geneva, Switzerland.

Also of note, the Lexus LFA (presumably the white car that normally resides in London's Park Lane Lexus showroom) will be appearing at the carmaker's stand as well. The end of the 2010 Geneva Auto Show's public run on March 14 will also mark the closing of the order books for the initial order period for Lexus' supercar.
