I had purchased a Y38 deft. Out of a 2016 Frs. And the axles from my is300 deferential is separating from the Y38 deferential. What could be the problem?

Sounds like the stub axle is not put in all the way. You should feel it snap into place and not come out easy. I also am asuming you use the stub shafts from the OEM IS300 diff. You realize the CV axle is separate from the stub shaft. I put the same diff in on a car a few months ago with no issues still.

Probably not “snapped” in all the way there are c clips on the stubs that need to be pushed in all the way. You will know when it’s in all the way. They won’t come out easily. Unless your stub shafts are damaged? Or the differential is damaged inside where the c clips would sit?

Of course please make sure they are fully seated before pulling the diff apart.

I am working on the problem now to see if it is going to do the same thing on the opposite side. An I had purchased some new clips from the dealer.
