okay so i don't know alot about LEDs, so my question is with the wedge leds... namely the 168/194 size, do i need polarized or non-polarized? whats the difference?

oh and if im changing the backup and brakelights to led... do i need a resistor or relay like the turn signals?

LEDs are polarized. If they don't work one way, flip them and try again.

If you're going to change the brakeliights to LEDs, standard wedge LED bulbs are not going to cut it, at all. You'll have to go with a kit similar to what I have designed (there's a few members who do kits, including myself).

You will need a resistor inline as a load resistor otherwise, you will see the bulb failure light on in your dash.

Also note, if you use the load resistor in your turn signals, and your LED turn signals go out for some reason, your turn signals won't flash rapdily like when a standard bulb goes out, because the road resistor is drawing enough current to "trick" the system.
