The eBay stuff are amazing for the money now. I recently converted my car to twin turbo with a $25 turbo from the eBay. Honestly for the money, I rather have the turbo than the brake upgrades. But that’s just me. I’ll update my build thread once this puppy is up and running.

jumping on the caliper cover bandwagon like tesla In order to cut farther cost (they're built very cheap quality i had a 2012 model s), and without telling customers, they recently changed the rear calipers on Performance model Y to be single piston (used to be brembos) and attached plastic cover over it hoping owners that paid money for the extra option doesn't notice.

I love how people think it's luxury then you take a look at one up close and it falls apart. I saw one in the showroom that looked like it had painted masking tape or some defect above the taillight. Also, panel gaps.

I thought these were dying out but then I saw a sxt charger at my gym progressively turning into a "Hell" Cat. One day he just regular brakes then boom "Brembos" with the original calipers still obviously visible 😅

I knew I was right when I started using oil for my brakes. That brake fluid stuff is garbage. Also leaving the bleeder boot off lets the ponies come out quicker so I can stop faster.

I just soda blasted and painted mine white to match the motegis, rotars too..bitch to keep clean but it's mine, I like it...

I agree. My wife and I test drove a Model S. Other than the insane 0-60 acceleration and instant torque, it didn't fit my definition of a luxury car. My IS F Sport's interior is way nicer!

If it were not for Rob I would have forgotten what this thread was originally about. I wish there was a place that had simple stock brake calipers for $25 each 😂. LOL, I’d stock up and change my calipers every time I needed new brake pads.

I guess the Tesla’s still have hydraulic brakes for emergencies. Funny how most technology brings you back to the basics.
