After tweaking the numbers around, I got the car for $440/mo + tax and tag with the promotional $2374 "down" payment. 12K miles allowed per year. Money factor was .307. I negotiated the selling price to $31969.

Thanks! Another thing I might as well put here just for reference value for those joining the club after me and use the search feature. My car came equipped with Dunlop SP9000 tires. I noticed because of the radical tread patterns. On the window sticker, it specifically spelled "Summer Tires" on the same line the Graphite Wheels was listed as an option. I wonder if the regular 17" wheels don't have "Summer Tires?"

What's the penalty if you go over 12k miles? I'm glad I bought my car because I already have 12k miles in 10 months.

Over mileage penalty is 15 cents per mile.

OK so I am gonna have to watch my milage too. I just moved out here to Baltimore Maryland. When I got here the only IS that I had seen around was a yellow one. Now they are poping up . There is a black with tan in my parking lot at fox leigh. So if you see a gun grey IS with Ohio tags drive like a bat out of... its me. more to come to my IS. Any good tracs around here guys?

hmmm... tracks.. there's a couple of drag strips... Capital Raceway in Crofton, MD (route 301) is happening friday nites until 11 pm... and then most hit the illegal drags at metro and in dc.

Then there's MIR in budd's creek which is way down south on route 301 past waldorf.
Lots of car shows in the area and just group get togethers. Don't be afraid to post a note in altogether if you want to meet people... I think we're all itching to get out and just shoot the breeze with other IS owners.

15 cents per mile.. darn.. i drove 550 miles in 3 days.. thank god i didn't lease.. hehe well.. i also have black/black IS.. couldn't get hold of one with LSD though.. we should get together sometime.. oh yeah.. one question.. how do your Lexus dealers react when they see IS's loaded with mods rolling in for their service and check ups?? i'm about to custom paint my engine cover and some caps.. i'm thinking maybe i should wait and ask the dealer first??

I'm pretty sure custom paint jobs won't affect the warranty, unless the paint somehow leaks into engine and causes it to completely fail

Mods like intakes and exhausst shouldn't be a problem either, but some dealers can be b!tches about it. Now, if you did an engine swap and put in a Supra TT engine in, that's a different story.
