Learn to Cheat at Hearts

Windows XP comes with several built-in games, one of which is Hearts. The Windows XP version doesn't have all the features included with previous versions, but you can still play against computer players. Hearts is a simple game, but one thing that would make it more fun (and easier to win) is to be able to see the other player's cards [g]. Here's how you do it:

1. If you haven't ever run Hearts yet, open it now and play a quick game. The rest of the instructions won't work if you haven't run Hearts before.
2. Click the Start button and click the Run command. In the Run dialog box, type Regedit in the Open text box and click OK.
3. Navigate to the follow Registry Key:
HKEY CURRENT USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionAppletsHearts
4. Click the Edit menu, point to New and click String value.
5. Change the name of the value from New Value #1 to ZB
6. Double click on the ZB value you just created. Change the Value data to 42 and click OK. You don't need to restart the computer to get this to work.
7. Open Hearts again and start a new game. Are you losing? Let's fix that. Hold down the SHIFT key on the keyboard. Keep it held down and now hold down the CTRL key. Keep the SHIFT and CTRL keys held down and now hold down the ALT key. Keep the SHIFT key, the CTRL key and the ALT keys held down and hold down the F12 key. Bingo! Your opponent's cards are turned over and you can see what they have. Repeat the process to turn the cards back over.

if you can't win on your own you suck anyway.

if you need cheats to beat that game you are absolutely horrible! plus even if you couldn't beat it easily, that takes away all the fun in attempting to beat the game oh well, play on

The cheat for minesweeper is a lot easier (assuming anyone else here even knows how to play the game).

Type xyzzy <shift> <enter>

The top-left pixel on your screen will now be black or white depending on whether the mouse cursor is over a mine.
