I just got the rear bumper replaced after being rear ended, and it seems the body shop left me a few surprises. One of which is a dent in my rear passenger door. Its about the size of a nickel and left a smudge in the form of scratches. I also checked my trunk and lifted up the 2 mats. To my surprise, both mats were very damp and the plastic cover over the spare tire was FILLED with condensation of water. There was water everywhere so I got a few towels and wiped most of it off. I know the body shop will deny making the dent so I wont even bother with that :pissed: , but is there anything I should worry about since my trunk was filled with condensation?

If you have a garage, it might be a good idea to leave the trunk open when it's parked for a couple of days. If it's real bad, you could buy a can of silica dessicant and put that in the trunk to soak up moisture from the air inside.

Even a tray of oil dry or kitty litter placed in the trunk will soak up a lot of moisture.

If you do leave it open, disable the light so it doesn't drain the battery.
